Grevillea Bonnie Prince Charlie
Grevillea alpina x rosmarinifolia
Short, colourful and compact, Bonnie Prince Charlie is a bit like its namesake. It has a long history of living up to expectations in open gardens or containers, in climates ranging from cool temperate to semi arid, and doing best in well drained clay or sandy loam of a neutral to low acid pH. The waxy red & yellow flowers in spring, summer and autumn attract Spinebills and other honeyeaters constantly. Tolerates frost and near coastal winds, and only needs an occasional trim to maintain a neat shape and even more flowers.
