If you’re looking to give the garden a makeover this season then why not dress it up with decorative potted plants.

Pots are a great way add cheery splashes of colour to the garden throughout the cooler months, so why not grow vibrant flowers like pansies, violas, polyanthus and cinerarias in equally colourful pots and position them around windows and entrance ways for extra impact. Express your creativity with different pots and colour combinations to create different moods in the garden. Add a bit of drama to your outdoor space with pink polyanthus in lime green Artevasi window boxes or soften the mood with white violas in romantic lavender coloured hanging baskets. Don’t forget to throw in a few bulbs too like winter-spring flowering daffodils or tulips for a bit of wow factor.

Or you might like to create a miniature feast of vegetables and herbs in pots to supplement your winter-spring menu. Fill earthy cottaSEAL pots with gourmet lettuces and rainbow silverbeet which look as good in containers as they do on the plate or miniature cabbages, cauliflower and broccoli for warming soups and roasts.  Just be sure to position your potted feast in a sunny spot close to the kitchen for easy picking. You could also grow scented, flavoursome herbs like rosemary, oregano, thyme and marjoram in antique looking Palermo bowls or edible flowers like pansies and violas in lightweight urbanLITE pots which can be moved around the garden to where colour and interest is needed most.
